Review pulse
All languages uses Steam’s public monthly graph. English only uses Steam’s exact English total when the game’s lifetime fits inside the period; older histories are estimated from the game’s current English-review share.
Free Steam idea-validation tool
Compare recent review activity, spot momentum, and translate it into a broad implied-sales range using assumptions you can inspect.
Steam does not publish sales figures. The review counts are observed; every unit estimate is directional.
Find possible comparisons
These are established, visible examples—not a representative market sample. Add less successful comparisons manually as well.
Build the comparison set
Mix leaders with ordinary and disappointing games. A carefully chosen set is more useful than a list of hits.
How to read it
All languages uses Steam’s public monthly graph. English only uses Steam’s exact English total when the game’s lifetime fits inside the period; older histories are estimated from the game’s current English-review share.
We compare the latest 90-day review count with the preceding 90 days. A 15% change is needed before we label movement.
We multiply observed reviews by your low and high assumptions. It is a scenario range—not reported sales or a confidence interval.
Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. This independent tool uses public Steam store data. Review activity is not the same as sales, review-to-purchase behaviour varies by game, and tag suggestions tend to favour visible games. Include strong, middling, and weak comparisons before making a production decision. All-language results use Steam’s public review graph. English-only history for older games is estimated from their current English review share.
